The goal of this orientation event was to provide Erasmus students with all the necessary information to settle in smoothly and make the most of their time in Istanbul. By introducing them to ESN Existanbul, the Erasmus Office, and key services like health insurance, the event aimed to ensure students were well-prepared for their Erasmus journey. It also sought to create a sense of community, giving students a chance to learn about opportunities for socialising and support throughout their stay.
On 13th February, the Erasmus Office of Istanbul University, in collaboration with ESN Existanbul, organised a comprehensive orientation event for incoming Erasmus students. During the event, the ESN Existanbul board members gave a presentation about the organisation, its activities, and plans for the semester, helping students understand the opportunities available to them. The Erasmus Office also provided valuable information about living in Istanbul and Turkey, including essential details about residence permits and local regulations. Additionally, a representative from GIG Insurance, a partner of ESN Türkiye, shared insights on the importance of health insurance and the benefits it offers to international students.
