Orientation Day at Frederick University

Through our participation in the Orientation Day of the University of Cyprus was mainly to promote ESN Nicosia’s actions and all the benefits that the mobility students can derive from our activities.

Going on an exchange to study in a different country can be tricky mentally and physically, therefore through our presentation we tried to promote some of our initiatives. Firstly, we raised awareness about the Buddy System, emphasizing that at anytime they can have a friend in Nicosia and a guide with the best recommendations. After that we talked about our many activities which allow exchange students to socialize with other people, such as the sports days, our daily trips and our other more interactive events.

Secondly, our goal was to promote the ESNcard by informing the students about all the perks that they get from their membership. In fact, after the end of the presentation, multiple students showed interest in purchasing the ESNcard.

Last but not least, one of our main aims through this interactive presentation was to promote active participation in this year’s EU Elections by mentioning all of the advantages that are given to us by the European Union as the Erasmus Generation. To make all of the information more accessible, we promoted the Erasmus Generation Portal website, as well as the website of ESN Cyprus which has all of the information of the local embassies.
