Goal of the Activity

The aim is to spread awareness and try to fight food waste, since it is one of the major threats for climate change!

Description

We raised a 5 days campaign where we tried everyday to create awareness against foodwaste.

- Day one: we had the focus on leftovers and we showed two receipts where we made a meal with our leftovers. We also made some online quiz about the National Day against food waste and the theme in 2021 edition. The 2021 Edition is dedicated to the evolution of behaviors and lifestyles in relation to food waste after the Covid-19. 15 billions € it's the sum of food waste in the supply chain and domestic waste, measured in italian's homes.

- Day two: we had the focus on waste free food like over-ripened food, we showed in a receipt how we can use this food without wasting.

- Day three: we posted some quiz about dayilies behaviours related to food waste. We also gave some tips about how to reduce the food waste, for example asking a doggy bag in the restaurant to get back home your leftovers.

- Day four: we raised another receipt and we started to get some tips from the users: how do you stop food waste?

- Day five(last): we gave the last tips for fighting the food waste: Meal planning, buy local and seasonal, some app could help, donate!

Whether you received some food as gift or you bought something that you don't like by chance, do not throw it away. Ask local charities for donation programmes or give it to friends or neighbors.
