The goal of this activity is to discover the beauty offered by the cultural and historical heritage of Macerata, giving the opportunity to share it with the international students of this semester from Macerata and Camerino. It is fundamental to let our international students not only study or work here, but also to truly deepen the connection with the local culture and history offered by our unique and welcoming city. Macerata is located in the heart of the Marche region, and offers a rich historical and artistic heritage. The purpose is to let students connect with the spirit of the town and appreciate its resilience and preserved beauty because of the earthquakes.
During the activity, we guided them through some of the most meaningful and symbolic spots in the historic center such as the Civic Tower or Palazzo Buonaccorsi. This tour is to deeply strengthen intercultural exchange, and helping students to discover culturing heritage during their mobility period, overall in one of the most less-known, but gorgeous cities in Italy.
