The Museum Tour is designed to introduce Erasmus students to the city’s museums and cultural treasures. The goal is to immerse them in the rich artistic and historical heritage of Macerata, offering an engaging and educational experience that brings them closer to Italian culture. Through guided tours and interactive activities, students can explore iconic locations, understand local history, and appreciate the artistic beauty of the area.
During our Museum tour, we visited the Civic Tower, an ancient symbol of Macerata that overlooks the charming Piazza della Libertà and offers a stunning panoramic view of the city. We then continued by exploring the magnificent halls of Palazzo Buonaccorsi, an 18th-century noble residence famous for the Museum of Carriages and its valuable works of art. Finally, we concluded at the Sferisterio Arena, an extraordinary open-air neoclassical amphitheater renowned for its exceptional acoustics and for hosting concerts, operas, and theatrical performances. This unique experience allowed us to immerse ourselves in the city’s rich culture and architecture!
