Murano and Burano Tour with ESN Venezia

We first brought international students to Murano, which has been the centre of Venice's famous glass industry since 1291, and the island's expert glass-blowers still create beautiful pieces of Murano craftsmanship. Between strolling around and taking artistic snapshots, we also had a chance to visit the famous glass museum. Further north, Burano has beautiful canals lined with brightly coloured fishermen's houses and is home to Venice's traditional lace craftsmen. Moreover, our we launched a challenge: the WeMurano & Burano contest: a photo contest and the authors of the 3 most beautiful and original photos were warded and republished on our social profiles!
