Overall, the purpose of a multilingual poetry night is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can come together to celebrate language, culture, and creativity while fostering understanding and appreciation for the diversity of the human experience.
Participants had to send the poem they intended to read in their language or dialect (it could be a poem written by them or by any author) and the English translation of it.
The night began with a welcoming introduction, setting the tone for an evening of linguistic exploration and cultural exchange.
Then each participant took turns on the stage to read the poem. All present were provided with a sheet of poetry in the original language and the respective English translation.
We chose one of the most important bars in the city center and it was amazing to see the participation of the Erasmus students, the volunteers but also of the local community.
