Goal of the Activity
This movie night had two main goals: creating an occasion for the international students to spend the evening together (which can be especially important as the semester is still in its early stages) as well as fostering knowledge and awareness about the local history, in particular the tense historical relationships between the Swedish and the Sami people.
Description
For this movie night, two movies were projected simultaneously, so that anyone would be free to choose what to go for:
- Sami Blood - a Swedish movie addressing themes such as cultural identity and Swedish colonialism in Lapland.
- The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared - a Swedish adventure comedy.
By organising this activity, the organisers want to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals
