Goal of the Activity

The Modernism tour from Plaça Catalunya to the Sagrada Família aims to provide a culturally enriching experience, immersing international students in the rich architectural heritage of Barcelona. Through visits to iconic Modernist buildings students can deepen their understanding of Catalan Modernism and Gaudí’s work. The tour offers opportunities to practice language, socialize, and learn about the city’s history in an engaging way. By experiencing the art and architecture firsthand, students can better appreciate the cultural significance and creativity that shaped Barcelona.

Description

A tour is conducted from Plaça Catalunya to the Sagrada Família. We make stops at Barcelona’s most important buildings and monuments: Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Casa de les Punxes, etc. There are explanations about the Modernist era, what Passeig de Gràcia was like in the past, along with fun facts that make the tour more enjoyable. Afterwards, there is a guided visit to the Sagrada Família.
