On 16 February 2023 the unical and the Recreational Club of the University of Calabria, together with student associations including ESN Cosenza, joined the national event M'ILLUMINO DI MENO - Festival of energy saving and sustainable lifestyles, promoted by the broadcast of Radio 2 CATERPILLAR and now in its nineteenth edition.
as a concrete gesture of support for the initiative, part of the lights of the Bucci bridge have been turned off and the running team of Unical with the Student Associations have participated in an ecological walk/ run on the Pietro Bucci bridge and within the perimeter of the university: becoming for a day UNICAL PLOGGER, that is, doing a sports activity collecting waste.
