The aim of the activity, in accordance with the convention stipulated at national level with Croce Rossa, was twofold: to involve the Erasmus students in the life of the local association and show its variety and commitment and, at the same time, to raise awareness of the issues of environmental sustainability and energy saving as part of the national "Mi illumino di meno" day organised by RAI Radio2.
The event, which made it possible to establish a fruitful collaborative relationship with the local section of Croce Rossa, started with a joint planning phase for the activity. Subsequently, interested members and Erasmus went to one of the city's main squares and set up a stall to carry out a solidarity exchange of objects bought and never used. This was meant to demonstrate the excess of unnecessary purchases that take place in our consumerist societies. At the same time, volunteers from both associations were out and about talking to passers-by about fast fashion and energy saving. Erasmus people were invited to participate, not only as volunteers, but also to drop by if they were interested in listening to us.
