The goal was to introduce the city to the students, to get to know the volunteers and welcome them to this new experience!
The tour has been structured so that can make known the most important places and monuments, explaining the history of the city and small curiosities.
The city tour was the first event organised after the welcome day at IULM. Many of them had arrived in Milan as we had imagined a few days before, so we toured the central part of the city with the most popular places.
At 16.00, we met near the statue in Piazza Duomo. We waited for about half an hour and from there we went around Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Teatro della Scala and then walked to Brera. From there we continued to Lanza and reached the Sforzesco Castle and Simplon Park. Around 5.30 pm we were a bit tired (we usually do these city tours without vehicles), which is why we had a mini spritz break near Parco Sempione (with ESN Card 5.50 a spritz instead of 10). We returned to Piazza Duomo, ending our city tour around 6.30 pm. From there we arrived at Hora Feliz for an aperitif and had no less than 5 tables to ourselves, so that we could stay close, get to know each other and enjoy another well-deserved spritz.
