The goal was to visit one of the most famous destination in Greece,Meteora.We visited 3 monasteries in Meteora.Another goal was the student to taste greek food and hear traditional music in free buffet in the hotel we were staying were they also met older greek women who showed them the greek dances. As a goal was to get in the Christmas mood by visitng the mill of elves in trikala and have some fun there.Final goal was to visit the city of Volos and taste local food.

Meteora: Meteora is an area that covers a few square kilometres, where an ancient monastic community and a rare geological phenomenon of huge rock pillars coexist in absolute harmony. Located at the northwest tip of the plain of Thessaly, Meteora today has become one of the most popular destinations of mainland Greece. The Greek word Meteora means "suspended in the air". It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an archeological site and an officially declared holy place!

Volos: Volos is a beautiful city of Thessaly, built in the innards of the Pagasitic Gulf, near the site of ancient Iolkos and at the foot of the mountain of Centaurs, Pelion. It is one of the largest cities and one of the most important ports in Greece.There you will have the chance to drink traditional tsipouro at a local greek tavern and discover the beauties of the city.
Trikala: Trikala is known to have the best Christmas village in Greece. Every year this small town in the heart of Greece is transformed into a Christmas paradise full of treats, lights, Christmas trees, theme park decor and attractions. Around "The Mill of the Elves", as it is called, you will find a beautiful Christmas decor worthy of an amusement park.

SATURDAY 25/11
- Bus leaves from the Faculty of Engineering AUTH at 7.30am
- Visit to the Meteora monasteries
- Check in at the hotel in Kalabaka
- Free time at Kalabaka
- Greek night (traditional music, food, and dances)
SUNDAY 26/11
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Check out from the hotel
- Visit The Mill of the Elves at the city of Trikala
- Visit the city of Volos and free time there
- Return to Thessaloniki

IMPORTANT
Please have your student card (paso) or your erasmus ID (the red one, not the ESNcard) with you on the trip, in order to enter the monasteries for free.
As it is a religious place, girls will be asked at the entrance to wear long skirts (under the knee) and boys have to wear long trousers.
REFUND POLICY:
NO REFUNDS! In case you want to cancel your participation, there will be no refund and it is your own responsibility to exchange your spot with another Erasmus student!
