Goal of the Activity
The activity was intended to show the international students the history and connection that marzipan has to the city of Lübeck, enriching their knowledge of the process of making and shaping Marzipan.
Description
The activity included an explanation of the history of Marzipan, and how it became a tradition in Lübeck, making it well-known nationwide. After, we were handed little pieces of marzipan, and we were taught how to shape it how professionals do in order to make our own little marzipan figurines.
By organising this activity, the organisers want to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals
