Goal of the Activity

Showcasing the cultural and artistic heritage of the Trentino Area by visiting the Museum of Arts of Rovereto and Trento where we saw an exhibition of sculptures by and insipired by Canova and a second exhibition about the local futurist artist Depero. We also wanted to highlight the end-gastronomical production of the area by visiting the Marzadro Distillery where the students learned about the production and importance of grappa.

Description

Have you ever tried grappa while being here?
Are thirsty for some art and culture?
We got the perfect event going up for you!
We will be going to Rovereto where we will visit the Canova exhibition at theMART museum in the morning and then we’ll have guided tour of Marzadro Distillery (one of the biggest in Trentino).

During the visit at the museum you’ll be able to admire 14 original Canova sculptures and many other artist’s inspired artworks. Check out the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsDpLAkmdMM

After lunch (you’ll have some free time in Rovereto but we recommend to bring your own packed lunch) we’ll head to Marzadro Distillery where you’ll learn a bit more about the process of making grappa and liquors. At the end of the tour we will be offered a grappa and olive oil tasting experience too!
