Our main goal was to introduce international students to the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Mantova.
ESN Modena volunteers and international students took the train together to head to the city of Mantua late in the morning. The group had lunch at a local "bigoleria", a restaurant specialised in "bigoli", a pasta shape native to the area, and the city tour eventually took place in the early afternoon. While optional, lunch was included in the fee. Mantova Student Network volunteers acted as tour guides and the group spent the rest of the day strolling through the streets and the squares of the city center. The tour ended with a typical aperitivo hosted by Mantova Student Newtork, where foreigners living in Mantova could practice foreign languages.
