The aim of the activity was to introduce international students to the creation of an iconic dish of Italian culture: pizza. Additionally, it allowed participants to observe up close and learn about the processes of pizza stretching and cooking.
During the event, international students had the opportunity to see and learn how to make pizza. This was made possible thanks to the pizzaiolo, who demonstrated each step of the dough stretching and preparation process.
After the more theoretical part, it was time for hands-on experience. One by one, with the guidance of the pizzaiolo, the students began stretching the dough themselves. Once that step was complete, they moved on to topping their pizzas with ingredients of their choice.
At the end of the process, when the pizzas were cooked, the students enjoyed their creations along with a drink of their choice. They shared their results with one another, enjoying the meal together in a moment of cultural exchange and conviviality.
