Goal of the Activity
The goal of the activity was to promote sustainable fashion choices and raise awareness about the impact of fast fashion on the environment
By thrifting instead of buying new, we reduce waste, lower our carbon footprint, and take a small step toward fighting climate change. Plus it’s fun, creative, and budget friendly.
Description
We visited several of the most popular thrift stores in Białystok, moving between each one on foot to promote not only sustainable fashion but also a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle. By walking instead of using transport, we reduced our carbon footprint and showed that small, everyday choices like shopping second-hand and choosing to walk can make a real difference for both our health and the planet.
By organising this activity, the organisers want to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals
Objectives
Fighting Climate Crisis
Reducing Waste and Promoting Recycling
Protecting Nature and Promoting Biodiversity
