Goal of the Activity

The goal of this mini school was to train and inform all new members of ESN Salerno on the inclusion of each section within the national and international network, explaining the roles of Esn members with a focus on each office of the Board.
The positions of Board Supporters as "Party Responsible" and "Communication Manager" were also explained.

Description

First of all, we explained how Esn Network is structured at a local, national and international level.

We showed to the new members our section statute and also told them about each section's duties, responsibilities and possible activities to organize.

Specifically, our Board members talked about their roles.

The President explained that:
The President of the Board of Directors has the signature and legal representation of the Association.
He agrees with the Board of Directors the general guidelines of the Association's behaviour.
He chairs the work of the Board of Directors and the Assembly.
He convenes the Board of Directors and the Assembly indicating the agenda.
He appoints the defenders of the Association in active and passive disputes.
He implements the resolutions of the Board of Directors.
He gives a voice to the Association in every political and institutional location, assisted by the directors and by
associates possibly appointed pursuant to art. 17.
In case of urgency and institutional need, he can take appropriate initiatives on his own
measures of ordinary or extraordinary administration, with the obligation to report to the Board
Board of Directors in the subsequent meeting.
In case of impediment of the President, the Vice President takes his place.
The office of President is incompatible with that of Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The President resigns from office after one year from the act of appointment.

the Vice President explained that:
In the event of the resignation of the President, or in the Shareholders' Meetings and Board meetings
Board where the President is absent or on any other occasion in which the President is not
available, the Vice President fully takes over his duties.
He represents the link between the members, the Board of Directors and the College of Guarantors.
He is in charge of monitoring the service status of the associates.
The office of Vice President is incompatible with that of President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The Vice President resigns from office after one year from the act of appointment.

the Secretary explained that:
He keeps the list of associates.
He is responsible for the correspondence of the Association and for the archiving of all documents.
Notwithstanding this paragraph, accounting documents may be kept by the
Treasurer, under his own responsibility.
It is required to draw up the minutes of the Board of Directors and the Assembly of associates.
The office of Secretary is incompatible with that of President, Vice President and Treasurer.
The Secretary leaves office after one year from the act of appointment.

The Treasurer explained that:
The Treasurer administers all the revenues and assets of the Association according to the resolutions
of the competent bodies.
It is required to observe the utmost transparency in operations, to fill in the registers according to
the special resolutions on the subject and submits its work to periodic review by the
Board of Directors, which is required to express itself on the work.
In case of need, and following specific management needs, the Treasurer,
after hearing the President, he can convene the Board of Directors.
The Treasurer submits an account within 30 days from the expiry date of his office
financial of the activities carried out by the Association.
Within 30 days of the end of the financial year, he fills out the report to be submitted to
review by the Board of Guarantors and approval by the Assembly.
The office of Treasurer is incompatible with that of President, Vice President and Secretary.
The Treasurer ceases from office one year after the act of appointment.

The Local Representative explained that:
The Local Representative can represent Erasmus Students Salerno Project at ESN
Italy and ESN International.
The Local Representative is responsible for the contacts between the ESN Italia Board of Directors and the Erasmus Students Salerno Project Associates and between the ESN International Board of Directors and the Erasmus Students Salerno Project Associates.
To fulfill this assignment, he is required, among other things, to view all correspondence arriving from these Associations.
He presents periodic update reports to the members of the Board of Directors when he deems it appropriate, and in any case at each meeting of the Board of Directors.
The Local Representative leaves office after one year from the act of appointment.

It was also explained to the shareholders that it is up to the Board of Guarantors:
a) control over the work of the Board of Directors on ordinary and extraordinary matters
administration;
b) proceed with the revision of the financial statement presented by the Treasurer;
c) comment on the procedures for the exclusion of members;
d) provide any kind of help to the Board of Directors.

In addition, the positions of Board Supporters were specified, as the "Communication Manager" and "Party Responsible".

At the end of the meeting, we checked with the platform Kahoot what the members have learned.
