The goal of the activity was to offer international students as well as local student in Kiel the possibility to improve their language skills by learning from each other. Therefore not only learning the language but also learning about cultural differences was part of the event.
On two days during the weekend we organized two picknicks. Beforehand we prepared some topics and games that the people could talk about and we asked for the language they would like to learn in the registration process of the event, so that we could try to make sure to group people in fitting groups. Mostly English and German was wished for.
Apart from that we followed our usual covid-19 hygiene policy, which includes that all participants bring a negative test unless they are fully vaccinated.
