Goal of the Activity

The main goal of this project is to integrate the international student community by spending time together in exciting go-kart races inspired by real Formula 1 races. It is designed to offer the international students something innovative and at the same time extremely exciting. The project met the needs of belonging to society, self-realisation and developing new passions. It is created to ensure a competition in a healthy, sporty atmosphere.

Description

The event started on 14.11.2023 at 4.30 p.m. with each student signing the participant list and a short training session on the use of the go-kart track, provided by track employees. Then the Grand Prix modelled on real Formula 1 races started, with the first rides being practice sessions. The students were divided into 5 groups of 7-8, each group had their first 8-minute practice drive. While waiting for one's turn, the other participants cheered their fellow students on the track and socialised with each other. After the completion of the first runs - the practice sessions - the qualification session started in groups drawn by the system. Based on the best lap times in this session, the line-ups and starting positions for the participants for the main races were then settled. This was followed by five races, starting with the race of the participants with the worst qualifying times and ending with the final race. The final race was very exciting. At the end of the final race, the top 3 drivers took their places on the podium. This was the moment to take photos of the best riders and group photos. After the photos, the event came to an end.
