The goal of our events is to help students get to know the city and it's surroundings.
Also we want to bring them together to find new friends and get to know other cultures, for this we organize different events like parties, trips, sports events and many more.
We published the event with this description:
Join us for a jazz concert at Munich's most famous jazz club: the Unterfahrt! Inside the jazz club there will also be a bar that provides food and beverages.
About the music
The classically scored piano trio with bass and drums is the most popular instrumentation in jazz and one that occurs inflationarily. Either piano threesomes orient themselves to the conventional sound that has evolved over decades, to the traditional role assignments - or they pretend to be ambitious. Pianist Stephan Weiser, bassist Peter Cudek and drummer Christoph Holzhauser somehow belong to both camps. Because they swing like the old ones and on the other hand have the exploratory urge, the adventurous spirit of the young ones. Their joint activity is a melange of yesterday and today, also a look into the future.
Stephan Weiser, the bandleader of this trio, was first classically trained as a pianist at the Salzburg Mozarteum before he went to the local Academy of Music and Theatre to study jazz piano under Leonid Chizhik. The fact that he has a wide range of interests flows into his emotionally as well as intellectually demanding music - Weiser has played with singer-songwriters such as Claudia Koreck as well as with various jazz, pop and rock formations. Besides his trio, he entertained the fusion formation Sonic Leap and a duo with Maximilian Höcherl.
