Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to teach Erasmus students the meaning of some of the most used Italian gestures, helping them to get to know this important aspect of Italian culture and overcoming cultural differences while having fun.

Description

This workshop was organised by Piccola Università Italiana, one of ESN Trieste's partners, which is a prestigious Italian language school with 30 years of experience. A certified Italian language teacher held a workshop for Erasmus students on the topic of Italian gestures, both showing them images and videos and encouraging participants to take part to role-play activities. The most used Italian gestures were covered, so that Erasmus students could easily understand them when used in conversation and overcome cultural differences. The school also offered a fresh drink to the participants and briefly presented the opportunities they offer to learn the Italian language and culture.
