To motivate participants introduce their language to others while make them bond over things that they like, and making them realize they have many cultural and personal aspects in common even if have different cultural backgrounds.
Participants were given colourful papers and
markers. They were asked 4 questions and asked to write their answers to small papers. The questions were as follows;
1. A word or idiom from your language that has no English translation. Try to explain what it means.
2. Love Language: Express your love in your own language. What words or sentences would you use?
3. Your favorite poem or quote in your language. Briefly explain its meaning.
4. Your favorite movie, show, or book in your language. Briefly explain what it is and why it’s your favorite. Also, include your favorite song in this flashcard
When students finished writing their answers, everyone shared all off the answers with other students, one by one. After this, they put their answer cards into an envelope, written their names, and exchanged the envelopes with eachother to keep it as a memory.
