Our monthly international dinners are supposed to bring people from all over the world together to explore the cuisine of another country or region. It is about socialising, culture, but also about responsible consumption and sustainability. As the events are organised by our international dinner committee, it also allows them to improve their skills and get themselves involved. It was the first time that we had an Autumn edition and the goal was to share autumn and Halloween traditions from many different countries. Of course, the event also served for people to get to know each other and socialise.
We got all the groceries, partially from the local market and then cooked and decorated all day long. When the participants arrived, we began with a starter, croquettes with spinach and ricotta and for vegans, croquettes with pumpkin and chickpeas with dip. The first activity was making some autumn decorations. The main dish was Ragout with polenta and for the vegans, chickpeas curry. The second activity was a quiz about different autumn and Halloween traditions in different countries. The dessert was vegan hot chocolate and vegan apple crumble.
