Goal of the Activity

Goal of the activity is to Showcase International Students an important and characteristic cultural practice of the Alto Adige Region: Christmas Markets and Krampus Parade showcased in Vipiteno

Description

The event was a trip to an important city in Austria: Innsbruck and to a Village in the Alto Adige region known for Its Krampus Parade: Vipiteno.

The latter is a Folkroristic tradition, tipical and identitary for the Christmas Period.

First, International students traveled up to Inssbruck where they visit the countless Christmas markets opened all over the city. Here the local Inssbruck section provided us with a city tour.

The next Location of the experience was Vipiteno. Before the parade our international students enjoyed the local markets and the local drinks and food. Once the acrots were ready, they started staging, moving all over the village. The parade was well presented, having Krampus moving across the village streets frightening the audience.

It was a unique experience.
