Goal of the Activity

 The main goals of the Incontro Culturale Erasmus are: promoting cultural activities and intercultural understanding; promoting Italian cultural heritage among international students in order for them to better get to know the lifestyle, tradition, landmarks and history of the Country they have decided to spend their mobility period; allowing participants to became de facto ambassadors of Italian and European culture back in their hometown by promoting the Erasmus+ programmed and its values;

Description

The Incontro Culturale Erasmus (ICE) is a national event organized by ESN Italy which takes place in Rome every year. The event was held in November in the Italian Capital city up to 1700 Erasmus students coming from all the cities in which ESN Italy has a local section. The event was spread over 4 days (from Thursday to Sunday) although we attended just from Friday to Sunday. The main aim of the ICE is to allow Erasmus students to discover Italian cultural heritage. On the first day we took part in the CityTour of the Centre (the route went from Piazza di Spagna to the Colosseum) and we visited the National Gallery of Modern Art, while in the evening we want to San Lorenzo. On the second day we visited the Vatican Museums and immediately afterwards took part in the Flag Parade in the centre of Rome, while in the evening we attended the party included in the program of the event. On the third and last day we took the Erasmus to the Capitoline Museums.
