This event was part of the project “Be a changemaker for a European sustainable campus”, in collaboration with EDISU Piemonte and CROUS Versailles. The project was co-funded by the European Union in the framework of Erasmus+ and it aims at promoting the concept of sustainability among university students. Through this project we wanted to support the capacity-building of partnership’s staff as well as facilitating a mutual learning opportunity on a transnational level among young people. Specifically, this activity was aimed to raise awareness on how students' lifestyles can have a positive or negative impact on the environment, focusing on active and sustainable mobility.
This engaging conference brought together activists and academics in order to explore cutting-edge solutions, strategies, and technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing urban mobility, and creating eco-friendly transport systems. This event featured insightful talks on the importance of adopting sustainable ways of transportation and the role of the city council in this topic. Eventually, three workshops took place during this event. The first one concerned a small survey among the participants to discover what kind of transportation they often use and what pro and cons they have from an enviromental point of view. The others were more practical and creative: a painting lab with old tote bags instead of canvas and a knitting lab, in order to promote uprecycling. The activity offered an intercultural exchange among speakers and participants, giving inspiration and practical solutions for a greener future.
