HIKE AND SEEK

What is HIKE AND SEEK?

This challenge is also about improving their physical and mental health during CORONA time.

First of all, they made teams (because of a CORONA restriction, we had only 2 people in 1 team). These teams got some riddle. When they solved it they got the name or coordinates of a place. 

They had a whole week to find that place (google maps/mapy.cz) and they needed to find something (what) we hid somewhere around that place. We sent them a photo of where it should be located along with the riddle. Our special object what we were hiding was an ESN jar. We put a paper and a pen inside the jar so they could write the name of their team and the date when they came. The team who first reached our spot and found the jar got the maximum of points. The second one got fewer points and so on.

We also gave them some special quests to get bonus points. We had 3 regular rounds (but it has bigger potential) and now we´re preparing the BONUS round. The BONUS ROUND is about finding prizes so they´ll feel satisfied.

We were changing the place of our ESN jar and new riddles were coming every week.

"RULES" what we invented during creating tasks: 

-FUN, 

-SAFETY (respond to the current CORONA situation), 

-DISTANCE (1-5km from a place they live in), 

EXAMPLES OF RIDDLES:

-Math task

-Question from our culture (sport, history, etc.)

-finding the name from several different pictures

-poem

-encrypted path description

etc.

EXAMPLES OF BONUS TASKS:

Find another place close to our mysterious spot and take a photo

Take a photo of animals during the journey and find their names

count how many trees/windows/whatever is somewhere

take a funny photo 

etc.
