The goal of this activity was to provide participants with an educational and interactive experience in nature. The guided tour aimed to introduce attendees to a diverse array of plant species in the botanical garden, enhancing their botanical knowledge. The hands-on workshop focused on medicinal herbs, allowing participants to engage in practical learning by crafting their own tooth powder and creating a face mask from fresh aloe. This combination of guided exploration and interactive activities aimed to deepen participants' appreciation of nature and herbal medicine, while also fostering a sense of community and shared learning.
Participants gathered near the botanical garden before the tour began. The guide introduced herself and started the tour at around 6:15 PM. The tour began with an introduction to some of the plants in the garden, including a close-up view of the tulip section using small lenses provided to the participants.
Next, the group moved to the laboratory area where participants made their own powdered toothpaste. Everyone brought their containers to take home the toothpaste they made. The guide provided all necessary ingredients, ensuring there was enough for everyone.
Additionally, the guide demonstrated how to make a face mask using freshly gathered aloe.
Overall, the workshop was a well-received educational experience in nature. Participants appreciated both the guided and independent aspects of the event, and everyone seemed satisfied by the end.
