Goal of the Activity

raise awareness on climate change and how people changed their habits since the emergency COVID-19 has exploded around the world.

Description

“Ethic and Sustainability in the post COVID-19 scenario” is a writing contest addressed to all the local and exchange/international students of Luiss Guido Carli University, within the “Green Month” initiative promoted by Erasmus Student Network Italia.

This is the track of the contest:

“Not only has nature given us the desire of happiness, but the need; the same need as the one of feeding ourselves” (Zibaldone,Giacomo Leopardi, 1829)

Nature has always played a key role in human life, to the point that it has inspired many poets, who thought that the human essence was to be seeked in nature. Nevertheless, today it is men’s behavior that influences nature, damaging it with its own habits. These same habits which have been revolutionized by this period of lockdown. A time in which we have been realizing that many things, that we thought to be essential, actually were not. How can we reconsider our habits and priorities, in order to make them eco- friendlier and to create a better future?
