Goal of the Activity
the aim of the activity was to search for microplastic contamination in the Gulf of Cagliari by means of a boat tour.
Description
At first, participants gathered at the harbour to divide into boats, to explain the purpose of the activity and to raise awareness about respecting coastlines and marine ecosystems. Afterwards, the international students were guided by the boat captains and were able to steer the boats and help with control activities. The other students instead inspected the coastline for microplastics and removed large waste visible from the boat.
