Description

The Goodbye Dinner is traditionally the last event of the semester we organise for the international students. This semester, the event took form of a barbecue, and for the very first time, it happened in the Old Marketplace (Stará tržnica). Being the partner of ESN UMB BB, the Old Marketplace provided wood and grills for the barbecue, as well as some blankets to lie down on. We took an inspiration from the National Assemblies of ESN Slovakia and set up envelopes with the names of Erasmus students and ESNers, providing the opportunity to leave sweet notes of farewell (or as we say, never a goodbye, always a see you later) as their journey in Banská Bystrica was slowly coming to an end. Additionally, our Erastar Awards ceremony, the all-time favourite among our students, took place, leaving the students with diplomas of numerous amusing categories (the most popular being Mr and Mrs Hunter or The Best Event Made by ESN), as well as a perfect token of their stay in Slovakia. As the evening started to get colder, the remaining circle of people tightened around the fire and enjoyed the calm atmosphere, chill vibes and our last moments spent together.
