Goal of the Activity

The aim of the activity was to clean one of Cagliari's main beaches to preserve the environment and biodiversity and ensure respect for natural areas.

Description

Together with the 'Legambiente' association, they met on the Giorgino beach to explain how waste separation in Cagliari takes place and to distribute the necessary material (bags, gloves, tongs, hats,..). Afterwards, waste collection activities began on the beach and in adjacent areas, especially car parks and areas where fishermen stop. The activity ended with a 'Beach Litter Monitoring', i.e. an international guide with which the waste collected was catalogued.
