Drama is both fun and empowering/engaging, it helps you awaken your inner child, but Forum Theatre is
much more.
It is an applied drama created to empower audience as well to determine social change.
It's perfect combination of activism and art.
Acting workshops were held by a professional facilitator Zrinka Ružičić, mag. art. And Ivana Filipović, who
lead the participants through the process of development:
-getting to know each-other
-trust exercises and preparatory drama
-introduction to Forum Theater
games for:
-attention,
-coordination,
-focus,
-space,
-body,
-voice,
-emotions
The concept of the final product allowed audience members to stop the play if they didn't like the behavior of the characters actors were playing and change the way they behaved.
With these games and exercises we broke the ice of a shame and later on developed Forum Theatre
play based on participants personal life experiences and stories.
By the end of the workshops, fist we had Primiere open to everybody and later we preformed in a local high
school class. During both performances, the audience actively participated in the play.
