Goal of the Activity

The purpose of the project is to show to international and Erasmus incoming students how Italy (the city of Florence) deals with the topic of inclusion and diversity.

The workshop will give the opportunity to local representatives of different communities (e.g. different abled community, LGBTQAI+, transfeminists) to share their experience in the context of the city of Florence and to provide food practices.

The aim is to make international students mroe aware about these topics and more participative in the improvement process.

Description

The idea of this workshop is to show incoming students in the city of Florence different associations that deal with the topics of inclusion and diversity and what they can offer you.

Our guests: the ArciGay association, the main Italian LGBTI association which creates social spaces for people with disabilities; NUDM, an anti-sexist, anti-racist, anti-fascist political movement.

Finally the NGO Jules Verne, an association that organizes cultural meetings within the Erasmus+ program.

We conclude the event with brief testimonials on how the topics proposed through non-formal education can be treated
