The goal of this activity was to provide our incoming students with an opportunity to try out their online presentation skills. Since most university classes were changed to distant learning shortly after our semester began an idea to help our international students to get more comfortable with this format emerged.
People who are interested were able to sign up through an online registration form. They were asked whether they already have a presentation or they would like to be provided with one and in which language they want to hold the presentation. The idea was that they should be able to hold a presentation in a safe space where they can try out certain things and also get some feedback from other international students and attending ESN members. The presentations were supposed to be put in an order that English presentations would come first and presentations in German afterwards so that people who are not able to speak or understand German are not left out.
