Goal of the Activity
  • Celebrating achievements: The primary goal is to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of both Erasmus students and local volunteers during their time abroad. The awards provide a tangible way to recognize their hard work, dedication, and positive impact.
  • Strengthening bonds and creating lasting memories: The party serves as a final opportunity for participants to come together, share their experiences, and strengthen the bonds they have formed. Creating lasting memories of the time spent together is essential for fostering a sense of community.
  • Expressing gratitude: The event is a chance to express gratitude to both Erasmus students and local volunteers for their contributions to the community. This can help foster a sense of appreciation and mutual respect.
  • Promoting intercultural exchange: Even as the mobility period comes to an end, it's important to continue promoting intercultural exchange. The party can be a platform for participants to share their cultural experiences and perspectives.
  • Leaving a positive legacy: The farewell party can leave a positive legacy by showcasing the success of the mobility program and inspiring future participants.
  • Recognizing individual achievements: The awards highlight the unique contributions of each individual, whether it's academic excellence, community engagement, or personal growth.
  • Encouraging future participation: By recognizing and rewarding outstanding achievements, the awards can encourage future generations of students and volunteers to participate in similar programs.
Description

The international students and volunteers gathered at the Antica Drogheria, dressed in Hawaiian style, for a "Farewell Party".
We volunteers, with the help of the venue owners, decorated the halls with colourful banners, flower garlands, lights and balloons.
The atmosphere was created with a playlist of Hawaiian music, reggae and other tropical rhythms.
The bar serves classic tropical cocktails such as piƱa coladas, mai tais and daiquiris.

During the event we took many photos that we later shared with our international students.
We celebrated the Aquilasmus Awards. Our incredible host, Vincenzo, announced the winners one by one and shared touching stories about their achievements.

We danced, had fun and said goodbye.
