With this proposal we aim to give young people more and better opportunities for the future, honor and support this generation giving them new hope, strength and confidence in their future.
Fuerthermore, we want local and international students to step up and give their added value to policy-makers, who are not always aligned with the interests of the youth. Thats why we count with actors such as Members of European Parliament, Europe Direct A Coruña, the regional government and the city council of Santiago de Compostela, to interact with them and make our voices heard.
Our goal as well is to escalate the impact that ESN has in local communities. As traditional media will be attending this event, higher our outreach in the regional and national community, sharing our interests and doing advocacy for both our organization (ESN) and for the incoming and outgoing students.
More than 100 young people participate in the European Year of Youth 2022 event, organized by ESN Santiago de Compostela last Friday at the Pazo de Fonseca
2022 was designated as the European Year of Youth with the purpose of focusing on the importance of European youth in building a better future, which advocates ecology, inclusion and is supported by the promotion of the digital. Last Friday, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Santiago de Compostela association organized a congress in the Pazo de Fonseca in which to make Galician university youth aware of the initiatives developed by the European Union in the field of these three maxims: the inclusive , the sustainable and the digital.
The Vice Presidents for Internationalization of Galician Universities, MEPs Nicolás González Casares, Ana Miranda and Francisco Millán's chief of staff, the City Council of Santiago and the Xunta de Galicia met in Compostela to listen to the proposals that generation Z has. In the words of the event's coordinator, Karan Novo, "it doesn't make sense that institutions don't take youth's opinions into account when designing policies for us." They reach out to collaborate in the future on matters such as Mental Health, Sustainability or Employability.
