Goal of the Activity
Mérida, the historical gem of Extremadura, stands as a living testament to Roman greatness. It stands out for its impressive archaeological ensemble, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here, students can fully understand how Roman heritage influenced the Iberian Peninsula and how is Spain today, with iconic monuments like the Roman Theater, the Amphitheater, the Roman Aqueduct, the Roman Bridge or the Arch of Trajan.
Merida is also the perfect example of history permeating everyday life.
Also, the local cuisine is a must in Spain with its delicious selection of Iberian meats.
