The goal of the activity was to show to those who enjoy cooking how to cook correctly 2 of the most traditional dishes from Abruzzo. The main ingredient was the saffron, that has been cultivated in the countrysides of L'Aquila for centuries. Nowadays it is recognized as one of the best in the world. We also explained them what ingredients are necessary and how to choose them.
We showed to the participant how to make traditional "tagliatelle" and 2 ways for cooking them. One was a vegetarian dish with ricotta cheese and saffron, the other one was with pork cheek ("guanciale") and saffron. We learnt the traditional recipies from our grandmothers, to cook them in the most traditional way. The students were able to interact with questions, using microphones and comments.
