The ESN Sport Challenge aims at promoting both physical and mental wellbeing by a series of challenges
launched via our Instagram account. Especially during lockdown, it is important to remain active and keep
training: in fact, sport enhances positive emotions and helps relieving stress.
Three days per week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) we posted a challenge on our Instagram account in
which people were to record themselves while doing a given exercise (e.g. burpees, squats, dips, etc.) and
then nominate three or more friends to take part in it. We also posted a video to show them how to do the
exercise correctly. We tried to keep it simple and make it funny, because we wanted everyone to get
involved and maybe include also those people who are not used to train regularly.
The overall feedback of the Erasmus students who joined our sport challenge was positive: they reported
enjoying it and some got very involved, even asking in advance what to expect in the next challenge or
making proposals themselves!
The result was great and a lot of Erasmus challenged themselves and their friend to do sport.
