The goal of this event was to bring our Erasmus to visit "Mutonia - Mutoid Waste Company" - a village characterized by the presence of works of art made with waste materials. Admission is free for all. What's requested is respect for its inhabitants who live in caravans or prefabricated houses and live by making these "works" made of various materials: scraps take new life. Our purpose was to let erasmus know a different way of reuse waste and to promote a sustainable way of life.
Mutonia it’s a free tourist park where a group of friends found their artistic expression in the production of works with recycled materials. Made by gigantic mechanical robots built with waste, doll and mannequin assemblies, strange cyborg beings and still creative workshops, it’s a "place / non-place" in a hidden corner of Santarcangelo since the '90s. It was also recognized a couple of years ago as "sculpture park and open air exhibition".
The small ESN group started from piazza cavour in Rimini at 3:30pm, they arrived by bike to the park marecchia and from there they traveled by bike the path to get to Mutonia. After visiting the village inside the park and discovering its unique reality they went to the center of Santarcangelo to eat something, after that they left and returned to Rimini.
