Are you a professional runner, a leisure runner, or will you take part in a wheelchair? Do you want to wear fancy dress, or are you aiming to give the Catcher Car a serious challenge? Perfect! Everybody is welcome in the Wings for Life World Run! Together, we are running for those who can’t.
THIS RACE IS UNIQUE
At the Wings for Life World Run, all participants start at the same time, worldwide. It doesn’t matter whether you are a professional athlete, a fun runner, or a total beginner. There is no finish line. Instead, 30 minutes after the start a Catcher Car begins its pursuit, passing the runners and wheelchair users one after the other. Best of all: 100% of all entry fees and donations goes directly to spinal cord research and will help to cure spinal cord injury.
The format
The Wings for Life World Run is different. It’s not what you may be used to from other races. First of all, the start signal will sound all over the globe at the same time. Exactly at 11 am UTC. That means participants in the UK start at 12 pm, in Germany at 1 pm and so on... There is no finish line. There is a virtual Catcher Car. It starts its chase 30 minutes after the start signal, passing one participant after another. Fun runners, for example, will be passed at kilometer 5, while professional runners will be sweating it out until kilometer 60.

At the Wings for Life World Run, we are running for those who can’t! 100% of all entry fees and donations are given to spinal cord research to find a cure for spinal cord injury. Red Bull makes that possible. They cover all administrative costs.

3) You can choose the distance you want to run and 3.. 2.. 1.. go, forrest !
