The goal of the event is to give students – especially international and exchange students – the chance to experience the Oktoberfest in Munich together with ESN Frankfurt. Cultural goal: to introduce participants to the biggest folk festival in the world, which is strongly associated with Germany internationally.
Social goal: to bring 50 students together on a shared trip, celebrating, traveling, and exploring Munich – fostering exchange, fun, and community.
Practical goal: to make the experience accessible and affordable despite Munich’s high costs during Oktoberfest (including accommodation, tent reservation, beer & food vouchers).

Oktoberfest is the biggest folk festival in the world with more than six million visitors each year! Internationally, it is certainly one of the first things that people associate with Germany. ESN Frankfurt plans to go there with 50 of you! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity! 🍻🥳
We will spend 3 days in Munich (Saturday to Monday). So you will not only experience the world-known Oktoberfest in one of the famous tents, but we will also show you some sights of the beautiful Bavarian city 🙌
As a non-profit association, we always strive to make our trips as cheap as possible for you. Munich is one of the most expensive cites in Germany, especially during the time of Oktoberfest.
This year, we will stay at a place called „TheTENT“. Located in a nice area near Nymphenburg Castle, it offers a budget friendly alternative.
Reservations are really hard to get, so we are thrilled to announce that we succeed in making one, which includes:
🔸Reservations at the famous Paulaner Festzelt on Sunday (Sept 29)
🔸2 Maß Bier (2x 1l beer) and meal vouchers (this alone is worth 51€)
The Tent
2 nights in „Bed-Tent“: sleep in comfy hostel-style bunk beds all together in a big tent. We stayed there last year already, and Erasmi really enjoyed the place.
Tickets
💸It will cost: 159€
If you have an ESNcard, the price will be 149€*
*If you don_t have one yet but plan to buy one, you can select the discounted ticket, we will sell/check ESN cards during the trip.
▶️ How do we get there? We plan to take advantage of Deutschlandticket which allows you to take regional trains in all of Germany (in total it‘s about 5 hours to Munich).
As the event takes place in September, you might not have your include ticket from university yet if you study at Goethe or UAS. In this case, we recommend you to buy a Deutschlandticket (58€) which you can then use for the full month of September, also for getting around in Frankfurt. IMPORTANT: Do not forget to cancel the subscription before Sept 10th!
