We had the opportunity to do a joint wheelchair handball training with the athletes of the VSG Darmstadt 1949 sports-club. Wheelchair handball is a fast-paced and action-packed team sport, in which everyone can play, no matter with or without disabilities. During the training we had the opportunity to talk to the players and to play in a wheelchair ourselves. The players were more than happy about our visit and about our home-made christmas cookies...
This first activity served to get our section in touch with the association. Nevertheless, Exchange Students were invited and we would have loved some participation among them. Since both sides had a lot of fun, there might be another opportunity soon!
