For organizing this event we collaborated with our friends in the Community of Bessarabian Youth in Constanta (CTB Constanța). In addition to raising several large bags worth of clothes and toys donations, they also helped us secure the cardboard boxes required for the proper transportation of the donations to the orphanage and provided one car to this end.
This year, Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Constanta and the Community of Bessarabian Youth in Constanța took on the role of Moș Nicolae (Santa Nicholas) for institutionalized children at a local orphanage. We set out to raise funds in order to bring more joy to these children by filling their boots with fruits and sweets on the occasion of the magical celebration which announces to the little ones the start of the winter. To this end, we also accepted donations via bank transfer. In exchange, we gave access to all donors to an online archive with scanned copies of letters these children have written to Santa Nicholas. In total, the donations amounted to 3 whole car trunks and backseats' worth of fruits, sweets, toys, and clothes for the orphaned children - a truly generous Santa Nicholas!
