Goal of the Activity

ESN Amsterdam organises this interesting talk with interculturalist Sander Schroevers twice - in the beginning of each semester. During this event, Sander Schroevers highlights aspects of Dutch cross-cultural patterns, allowing studnets a better understanding of people’s behavior and allowing them to integrate into their new surroundings with more knowledge.

Description

Do the Dutch really walk on wooden shoes and only eat potatoes for dinner? Do we eat chocolate on our bread for breakfast and use ‘pannenkoek’ (which means pancake) as a swear word?
Find out during our introductory Dutch Culture Night with Sander Schroevers this Thursday, the 9th of September! During Dutch Culture Night interculturalist Sander Schroevers will highlight aspects of Dutch cross-cultural patterns, allowing you a better understanding of people’s behavior. This evening is organized in collaboration with the Cross-Cultural Business Skills Minor (Part-time Academy). We’ll have some typical Dutch snacks and drinks for you to try out and there will be a quiz about the Netherlands, with a special gift for the winner! Start off your discovery of the Netherlands right and don’t miss out on this evening! Bonus: it’s completely FREE!

Join us at Café Czaar for a cozy night of learning and fun. Due to Covid-19 regulations we have a limited capacity, so register here for a guaranteed spot! Register here: https://forms.gle/oD6mT9vJikE3t6K79
