The aim of this event, "Erasmus Mosaic: Exploring Warsaw's Culture," is to provide Erasmus students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture of Warsaw, engage in cultural exchange with its people, and gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the city's rich history, traditions, and customs. The objectives are to foster cross-cultural connections and understanding between Erasmus students and the residents of Warsaw. Provide Erasmus students with a unique cultural experience and the chance to explore the city's landmarks, museums, and other cultural sites. Enhance Erasmus students' language skills and intercultural communication abilities through interaction with locals. Promote cultural diversity and appreciation among Erasmus students and the broader community. Ultimately, the goal is to create an enriching, eye-opening, and memorable experience for the participants that will leave a lasting impact on their personal and professional lives.
"Erasmus Mosaic: Exploring Warsaw's Culture" started one week before the academic year and it was dedicated to introducing new international students to the university, city, and Warsaw community. Its core idea is to provide a smooth transition for the students, by offering a welcoming environment, informative sessions, and fun activities. The goal is to help students settle in, make new friends, and feel comfortable with their new surroundings. The event included activities such as campus tours, introductory classes, pub crawls, karaoke, beer pong, international dinner, sports, introduction to polish language, and administrative procedures such as registration and obtaining necessary documents. The objective is to ensure that students get to know the city, themselves and are well-prepared for the start of their studies and to provide a supportive environment for a successful academic experience.
