The goal of Equality & Diversity Day was to promote awareness, empathy, and respect for people of different backgrounds, abilities, and cultures by encouraging open-mindedness, highlighting the importance of accessibility and inclusive communication, celebrating the diversity within the student community, and fostering a sense of unity and belonging among all participants.
The event featured a sign language workshop in English, promoting inclusive communication; an International Dinner, where students shared traditional dishes from their countries; a colorful Flag Parade symbolizing unity in diversity; and an accessible screening of the film Flow with audiodescription. The day aimed to raise awareness, foster empathy, and celebrate the richness of our multicultural community.
